Nicola Roberts in talks to appear as a judge on Britain's Got Talent
Former Girls Aloud singer Nicola Roberts is rumoured to be in talks to star as a judge on Britain’s Got Talent.
The 29-year-old singer, whose former band mate Cheryl Fernandez-Versini is a judge on the X Factor, has reportedly spoken to ITV bosses about appearing on the reality show when it returns in June.
A source close to the star told The Daily Mail: “Nicola was excited to get a call asking her to come in for a chat.
“She’s had a few meetings since and although nothing has yet been signed, she’s considering her options.”
Simon Cowell has already confirmed that he will “absolutely” be returning to the ITV show, but Roberts’ arrival could spell the end for one of the current judges and see either Amanda Holden, Alesha Dixon or David Walliams get the boot - unless bosses wish to introduce a fifth judge.
Auditions for the upcoming ninth series begin filming in the New Year.
