Leah Weller says she has never been a rebel because her parents were so disobedient themselves.

But the model, the daughter of singers Paul Weller and Dee C Lee, is following in their footsteps in professional terms - by becoming a musician herself.

Weller, 23, said: “My parents were rebels, so there’s never really been anything for me to rebel against. Besides, I’m not a big ‘night out’ person. I do love the occasional big blow out but I’m not a party girl.

Weller said she has always wanted to record an album, and plans to release her debut next year.

In an interview with HELLO! Fashion Monthly, out today, she says her father, 56, formerly of The Jam and The Style Council, is more than happy to offer his advice.

She said: “I don’t let my dad hear a track until it’s finished — and he’s honest, which I like. He’s my biggest critic. I’d rather hear it from him than someone else.”

Weller, who has starred in a campaign for fashion brand Daks with her father, said she had been asked to lose weight for a job only once — in Japan, where “the clothes are super tiny”. She said: “I thought about slimming down when I was younger and just starting out. As I’ve got older and become more confident, I’ve realised the important thing is being healthy rather than skinny. I like being curvier.”

She also spoke about reports that Kendall Jenner, the half-sister of Kim Kardashian, was bullied at New York Fashion Week. Jenner’s mother, Kris, has described rumours that models put cigarettes out in her drinks as fabrications.

Weller said: “I’ve never seen anything like that, and if I did, I would definitely say something. I hate that stuff, it’s so stupid. I’m all for Kendall. She is what she is and everyone’s got where they are for a reason. She’s a great model.”
