Paul Young’s wife Stacey dies age 52 following battle with brain cancer

Paul Young’s wife, Stacey, has died at the age of 52 following a two-year battle with brain cancer.

The former model and actress was surrounded by her family as she passed away “peacefully” at home, according to a family spokesperson.

“The singer Paul Young has today announced that his wife, Stacey Young, sadly passed away today after a two-year fight with brain cancer,” read a statement.

“Stacey died peacefully at home surrounded by family, friends and her four children: Levi, Layla, Grady and Jude. The family respectfully ask for privacy at this time.”

The couple, who have three children together, met on the set of a music video back in 1983.

Despite having a highly-publicised affair with motorbike stuntman Eddie Kidd in 1986, Stacey went on to marry Young three years later.

The pair split again for three years in 2006, during which Stacey had her fourth child with with Israeli businessman Ilan Slazenger.

They reconciled in 2009 and Young became stepfather to Stacey's son, Jude.
