Piers Morgan has blamed Kanye West’s ‘fame addiction’ for his hospitalisation.

The Good Morning Britain presenter was met with a mixed reaction from viewers when he said that the rapper had been ‘sucked into a vortex’ by marrying into the Kardashian family.

“[Kayne]'s incredibly smart, bright, different, incredibly talented guy and a brilliant musician yet he was sucked into this vortex of the Kardashian reality television and now look... he's in a hospital in Los Angeles and he's in a terrible state,” he said on Tuesday morning.

“It’s funny that a major star like this was hospitalized, taken in handcuffs and it’s dramatic [after he] cancels world tour… it would be a legitimate big story, but I can tell you just looking on Twitter, there are a lot of people saying ‘I don’t give a damn about those two anymore, I’m done with them.'”

“WHAT THE F*** is piers Morgan going on about with Kanye ?! Blaming it on the kardashians? Are you ok??!!!,” one angry viewer wrote on Twitter.

Later in the day, Morgan discussed West again in his column for MailOnline, writing:

“I suspect the truth is that he’s suffering from a far more dangerous health hazard: fame addiction,” he wrote.

Meltdown: Kanye West had a tirade on Saturday night

“Kanye West is a celebrity junkie. Not content with being one of the world’s most famous entertainers, he set out to seduce and marry Kim Kardashian, thus deliberately implanting himself right into the heart of a 24/7 reality television goldfish bowl.

“There’s no escape from such a fatuous, fickle world.”

West was hospitalised on Monday after cancelling the rest of his Saint Pablo tour following a series of bizarre on stage rants.

According to TMZ, the 39-year-old was handcuffed to a stretcher after his management convinced him to seek medical help.
