Donald Trump starred alongside Sarah Jessica Parker in Sex and the City – but the actress can't remember the moment.

The presidential candidate had a cameo role in the hit US series where he was filmed having a business meeting in a restaurant in an episode titled: The Man, The Myth, The Viagra.

When asked by Good Morning Britain's Susanna Reid about the cameo she replied: "Was he really?"

The 51-year-old star said she is a staunch Hillary Clinton fan and will not be voting for Trump to become US president.

“I’m fairly public about my party I would very much like to see Hillary Clinton not only be President, but the first female president,” she said.

Parker – who was on the show to promote her new fragrance – decided to turn the tables on Reid and grill her on her relationship with co-host Piers Morgan.

She asked Reid: “Are you guys long-term collaborators? It seems like there’s a lot of interest around your relationship.”

Keen to avoid the conversation, Reid said: “Shall we get off the subject of Piers Morgan?”

Parker continued: “I’d like to see you guys wriggle around for a change.

“It must be a very interesting experience for your audience.

“Do they have a lot of opinions about your relationship?”

Reid replied: “Oh I couldn’t even begin to tell you what they think.”

Parker also spoke about the possibility of reprising her role as Carrie Bradshaw in a third Sex and the City film.

"Today the answer is, it's not on the table," she said. "But that doesn't mean it's not in the warming drawer."
