Take Me Out matchmaker Paddy McGuinness may have some competition.

Piers Morgan has bragged about setting up Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, leaving fans calling for him to play Cupid with their love lives.

The Good Morning Britain host, 53, recalled how he was drinking with the Suits actress at The Scarsdale Tavern in Kensington, west London, when he put her in a cab to take her to her first date with the Prince.

Morgan shared a picture of the pub on Instagram, posting: “Two years ago, I took Meghan Markle to my local pub for a drink (she had dirty martinis, I had Harvey’s best bitter) & then put her in a cab to her first date with Harry.

“That night, none of the locals knew who the hell she was. It appears they know now...”

Morgan was unaware at the time who Meghan was dating, but it didn’t stop fans from being bowled over by his apparent matchmaking skills, with many asking him to step in to help with their own dates.

One user asked: “Can you hook me up with a date?”

A second commented: “I don't want a prince but can you hook me up with Tom Hiddleston?”

A third wrote: “You're sooo good at matchmaking! Christine and Frank...Meghan and Harry...who will be next?!!”

Others joked that he had played such a pivotal role in Harry and Meghan’s relationship that he should walk her down the aisle.

Meghan’s father Thomas Markle was supposed to do the honour but was forced to pull out after suffering a heart attack. She will now be accompanied by Prince Charles.
