Life's a drag as John Barrowman stops London traffic

John Barrowman is unrecognisable as dashing Captain Jack Harkness after slipping into a pair of high heels and a skimpy dress to promote his upcoming stint in La Cage aux Folles.

Dressed as a foxy redhead and draped in bling, Barrowman managed not to cause any traffic accidents as he posed for pictures in busy traffic near London Bridge.

Torchwood star Barrowman, who plays Captain Jack in the hit Doctor Who spin-off, will play the part of Albin/Zaza when he takes over from current leading man Roger Allam in the West End show on September 14.

He will continue in the role at the Playhouse Theatre until November 28.
