The ex-EastEnder, 33, looked stunning in her one-shoulder black dress as she arrived at the Grosvenor House Hotel for the event, which honours the best in crime fiction.

Arresting: Keeley and Glenister

Ashes To Ashes stars Keeley Hawes, 33, and Philip Glenister, 46, ditched the Eighties attire they wear in the BBC series for a more modern look. Other guests included actress Emilia Fox, 35, author Martina Cole, 50, and Spooks star Rupert Penry-Jones, 39.

Among last night's winners was US police drama The Wire, which picked up two Gold Dagger awards including best actor for its British star Dominic West. Authors Lynda La Plante and Ian Rankin were inaugurated into the ceremony's Hall of Fame.
