Pop Idol will back on TV screens this summer - Bollywood style. Hundreds of Asians are preparing to audition for Channel 4's latest music talent show Bollywood Star.

Six finalists will be flown to Bombay to be trained in traditional Indian acting, singing and dancing and the winner will star alongside top actors and actresses in a Bollywood film.

Judge Honey Kalaria, who runs an Asian dance academy in Tooting, South-West London, said: 'Bollywood is much harder to succeed in.'
