Rebel Wilson admitted she hasn't spoken with Isla Fisher after making claims about ex-husband Sacha Baron Cohen in her memoir, Rebel Rising.

Last month, the couple announced they had split up in 2023 after 13 years of marriage in a bizarre Instagram post.

The timing raised eyebrows just weeks after Wilson accused Baron Cohen of being an “a**hole” who mistreated her on the set of Brothers Grimsby.

The Aussie star made the accusation before the publication of her memoir. In the UK edition of the book, the actor’s biggest claims are redacted.

Cohen denied all allegations, with his representatives telling The Standard: “While we appreciate the importance of speaking out, these demonstrably false claims are directly contradicted by extensive detailed evidence, including contemporaneous documents, film footage, and eyewitness accounts from those present before, during and after the production of Grimsby.”

And now, Wilson has addressed the speculation about the timing of the couple’s split with her allegations in an interview on the Kyle and Jackie O Show.

On Wednesday, Wilson said: “I don't feel like I'm the reason [for their break up]. But it might have just been his general treatment to women.”

The Senior Year actress did admit however that the timing “wasn’t great”.

Wilson also admitted that she hadn’t spoken to Fisher since the divorce announcement, despite the pair previously being friends as they worked together on the 2012 film, Bachelorette.

“I haven’t spoken to her,” Wilson shared. “Obviously, I used to be friends with her before all this happened.

“We did a movie together called Bachelorette.”

Last month, sources told US Weekly the split has “nothing to do with Rebel’s claims”

The insider said: “They have been living separate lives since last year but wanted to give this space and time for their children to be OK with this before the news came out and they got all this attention.”

The Standard has contacted representatives for Isla Fisher and Sacha Baron Cohen for comment.
