You'll be bowled over by the tensions the World Tenpin Masters brings to the fore.

The fifth Masters takes place in Dagenham with 16 top bowlers bidding for a first prize of more than £20,000.

One lane in the matchroom will be play stage to a roster of three events - the World Masters, Weber Cup and AMF World Cup. Seats banked along the sides help create the high-pressure atmosphere - hence the increase TV coverage these days.

Last year's winner, Malaysia's Shalin Zulkifli, delivered a real upset to the favourites and she be back in action again this time to defend her title against players from 13 nations.

Home hopes include Dicky Hood, Phil Scammell and Kirsten Penny.
