A revised Twenty20 vision

The format of the highly-successful Twenty20 Cup is to be revised for the 2004 season with a quarter-final round being introduced and the competition rescheduled for July to avoid a clash with football's European Championship finals.

But they are the only changes to a format which was an instant success this year.

The winners of the quarter-final matches will qualify for the finals day, which will have the same format as this year with both semis and the final being played.
