14 April 2012

Shahid Afridi equalled the second fastest century in limited overs internationals to power Pakistan to a five-wicket victory over India at Kanpur today, giving them a 3-2 lead with one game remaining.

The 25-year-old opener, who also holds the record for the fastest one-day ton (37 deliveries), equalled Brian Lara's 45-ball effort, with all but eight of his 102 runs coming in boundaries.

Pakistan made 252 for five in 42.1 overs in reply to India's 249 for six.
