Arsenal’s Alexis Sanchez was the biggest hit with his new fans when it came to personalised shirt sales this transfer window.

The £32m man joined from Barcelona in July, and has so far seen his name printed on 36.4 per cent of all personalised Arsenal shirts sold on kitbag.com.

Sanchez’s ex-Barcelona team-mate, Cesc Fabregas, has proved the most popular with his new Chelsea fans, with 26.6 per cent of all personalised Blues shirts dedicated to the Spaniard.

However Diego Costa, who appears to have solved Jose Mourinho’s striker problem with seven goals in six games so far this season, was only seen on 20.2 per cent of Chelsea shirts.

For Manchester United, record signing Angel Di Maria was requested on 20.6 per cent of all shirts.

Cristiano Ronaldo eclipses them all, though, with 38 per cent of all personalised Real Madrid shirts being ordered on kitbag.com coming with his name and number on the back.

Manchester United snapped up Radamel Falcao in a shock deadline day deal, and the arrival of the Colombian clearly delighted fans, with his name being requested on almost a third of all personalised shirts sold globally during the week after his signing.

Kitbag chief executive Andy Anson said: “It’s clear that the English Premier League continues to capture the imagination of fans across the entire world.

“Major signings will always inspire excitement, but after a hugely entertaining World Cup in Brazil, the interest has definitely intensified.”
