Anna plays a 'perfect' match

Anna Kournikova's attempt to re-establish herself as a top player continued when she beat 30th-ranked Alexandra Stevenson 6-0, 6-1 in the first round of the Acura Classic in San Diego.

Kournikova, 47th in the world, said: "I played almost perfect."

Stevenson, from San Diego, broke down in tears after her defeat.

"My pride was really hurt," she said.
