Ashley Cole has revealed how he fell out of love with Arsenal and accused the club of lacking respect for him.

As the England full-back prepared for his Chelsea debut today following the deal that took him to Stamford Bridge, he spoke out about the transfer tug-of-war.

'For me it's about respect,' said Cole. 'I don't think I got the respect or was held in high regard at Arsenal as much as I thought I was.' He claimed Arsenal lacked 'love' and said that he 'wasn't wanted'.

And in his new book My Defence he accuses many of his ex-teammates of not pulling their weight. 'I wouldn't want to go to war with these guys,' he says.
