Lewis Hamilton feels amazing as he prepares to restart his rollercoaster Formula One season at Sunday’s Belgian Grand Prix.

The first half of the campaign ended in controversy for the Mercedes driver and Nico Rosberg following their row over team orders at the Hungarian Grand Prix last month.

Rosberg was fuming after Hamilton had ignored a call by the team to let him through.

Hamilton also suffered a fuel leak in Hungary and brake-disc failure in qualifying for the German Grand Prix a week earlier.

Despite his troubles, Hamilton is second in the championship and only 11 points behind Rosberg.

Refreshed after the summer break, the Briton is ready for anything as he sets his sights on his second world title.

“The break always comes at a good time for everyone but for me maybe more so than the other seasons,” said Hamilton.

“It took a lot to come through those experiences I went through and to come out of them on a high note.

“To go into the break only 11 points behind, considering the stuff I went through, it took a lot of energy to get there.

“I made sure I embraced the break and tried to enjoy every. I didn’t have a single thought about racing through that period.

“Coming back, I feel really energetic and now I feel amazing going into this second part of the season. So whatever lies ahead, I feel good about it.”
