Broncos get out of a tight spot

Raoul Simons13 April 2012

London Broncos returned from their winter training camp in Australia wearing tights to remain fresh for their opening game of the season against Batley Bulldogs on Sunday.

The squad donned specially made Robin Hood-style outfits to reduce the effects of jet lag from the long-haul flight.

Physio David Ronberg said: "I'm sure that by wearing tights on the plane we'll save a couple of days' jet lag. There's no room for egos when you've got an important match."

New signings Steve Hall, Wayne Evans, Richard Marshall, Rob Purdham and Rob Jackson will line up alongside star full-back Richie Barnett for the Kellogg's Nutri-Grain Challenge Cup fourth-round tie.
