Brush: I was right to drop Minton

Leyton Orient manager Paul Brush defended his decision to drop star midfielder Jeff Minton, despite seeing his side suffer a 2-1 defeat against fellow strugglers York.

Brush took strong action against his experienced midfielder after Minton refused to stay in the dressing room after the Shrewsbury game last weekend and stormed straight on to the team coach.

Brush said: "Jeff was not involved against York last night as a result of his actions last Saturday. He was disappointed at being substituted and wasn't at the team meeting after the game."
