Christian Horner disappointed Mark Webber didn't tell him about injury

Red Bull Racing team principal Christian Horner has expressed his disappointment with Mark Webber for not informing him of a shoulder injury sustained towards the end of the recent Formula One season.

Webber fractured a shoulder in another mountain bike accident in his homeland of Australia a week prior to the Japanese Grand Prix.

At that stage Webber was leading the championship with four rounds of the season remaining.

The revelation emerged yesterday in a book from the 34-year-old looking back on his championship challenge entitled 'Up Front - 2010, A Season To Remember'.

"I didn't even know about the book, let alone the shoulder," said Horner.

"It is obviously disappointing Mark said nothing. It was an injury that did not appear to have any effect on his performance, but all the same it would have been nice to know about it."

Horner would now appreciate Webber avoiding mountain bikes in the future given the Australian broke his right leg and fractured a shoulder in an accident in November 2008.

"Our drivers have an obligation to make sure they are fit," added Horner, speaking to The Daily Telegraph.

"It seems bikes don't agree with Mark, so maybe it would be better if he stayed away from them."
