Cipriani takes frustration out on Edinburgh

Prolific: Danny Cipriani kicked 20 points

Danny Cipriani aims to continue his rehabilitation with London Wasps in the Heineken Cup after his England axing.

The fly-half, dropped for the last of the autumn Tests against South Africa, guided the English champions to a vital 25-16 win over Edinburgh to keeps them in the hunt for a quarter-final place - if they can repeat the success against the Scottish side on Sunday at Adams Park.

Cipriani kicked six penalties and a conversion as Wasps frustrated former England coach Andy Robinson, now in charge of Edinburgh.

Ian McGeechan was delighted with Cipriani's response and said: "His kicking was very good for us and he probably knows his own kicking game hasn't been top notch in recent weeks.

"Credit to all the England boys, they've had a six-day turnaround. When you've played four tough weeks internationally, it was a big ask and they've been excellent."

Tom Rees scored the all-important late try for a Wasps team that wore black arm bands in memory of Eileen Dallaglio, mother of former-captain Lawrence, who died last week.
