Clark climbs into top 50

Tim Clark has climbed into the world's top 50 golfers after winning the South African Open by six shots at the Royal Durban Country Club.

The South African, who won the same event on the same course in 2002, pulled clear of the field with a final-round 66.

Besides his £89,000 first prize, Clark also earns a European Tour exemption until the end of 2007. Ryder Cup star Darren Clarke tied for fourth place with English pair Graeme Storm and Nick Dougherty, who carded a superb final-round 66.
