Clark: We can't keep up with Saha

13 April 2012

Fulham midfielder Lee Clark had nothing but praise for Louis Saha after the striker grabbed two more goals to send Fulham back to the top of the First Division.

Saha was the star as Fulham cruised to a 3-0 victory over Wimbledon but Clark is amazed at the impact he has had since his £2.1 million from Metz during the summer.

Clark said: "Louis has surprised me at how well he has adapted to the English game.

"I knew of him when he was on loan at Newcastle a couple of years ago and thought we were getting a good player.

"He has got great pace and a good touch and always gives us another option. The only problem is that we can't keep up with him."

Meanwhile, Wimbledon manager Terry Burton is still confident his side can push for a promotion place.

Burton said: "We have been inconsistent this season but I have had a lot of injuries to contend with."
