Graham Onions is out of the First Test against Bangladesh with a back injury.
Fellow paceman Stuart Broad also has a back problem and was expected to have a fitness test later today ahead of the series opener which begins in Chittagong on Friday.
Middlesex bowler Steven Finn, 20, is set for a shock debut with Yorkshire's Tim Bresnan poised for a recall.
