Skipper Graeme Smith comes up short for Surrey again

Graeme Smith's miserable start to life as Surrey skipper continued today when he was out for three.

The South Africa captain (above), who made only two on his debut against Somerset last week, was caught behind off seamer James Anyon after just 12 balls on day one of the County Championship clash against Sussex at The Kia Oval.

Rory Burns and Gary Wilson then showed Smith exactly how it’s done by guiding the home side to 58 without any further loss at lunch.

England spinner Monty Panesar looked in fine nick for Sussex, conceding just 10 runs from 10 overs.
