Djokovic dream close to reality

Novak Djokovic claims he would "give everything" to reach a Wimbledon final and is now just one step from reaching his goal after romping to an easy victory against Yen-Hsun Lu in the last eight.

The third seed was imperious as he ended Lu's fairytale run at the quarter-final stage with an accomplished performance on Court One. The Serbian's 6-3 6-2 6-2 victory secured his place in the semi-finals at the All England Club for the first time since 2007.

"It's really refreshing to perform this way," Djokovic said. "I was struggling with the level of my performance throughout the last five, six months. There were a lot of ups and downs. But right now I'm playing great. It definitely makes me happy."

Tomas Berdych now stands between Djokovic and a place in Sunday's showpiece match after the 12th-seeded Czech stunned reigning champion and top seed Roger Federer.

The outcome of that match means Djokovic heads into Friday's semi-final as favourite to progress, but the 23-year-old will not take anything for granted.

"Obviously, both of us, we going to have a great motivation to proceed to the next round and final," said Djokovic, who beat Berdych in their two previous meetings.

"For him, that would be a first final, for me, a third. But still, I would give everything to play the final in Wimbledon.

"Berdych is a player who won against Roger in four sets. We cannot forget that. He's going go for the shots. I think he has not much to lose.

"He's going to be motivated, so there's no favourites."
