Easter emerges as England doubt

12 April 2012

England's Nick Easter is a doubt for the autumn internationals after he hobbled from the pitch a little over half an hour into Harlequins' 26-22 victory over Worcester at Sixways.

It was an impressive win for the visiting side but the question of Easter's fitness dominated the post-match talk.

When asked about the extent of the number eight's injury, Quins coach John Kingston said: "It looks like he has a calf muscle injury. He is on crutches and it is impossible to say how many weeks he will be off but there is obviously a question mark as to whether he will be available for the autumn internationals."

He added: "He will report to England on Sunday and their medical staff will have to assess the injury."
