England given military treatment

England's rugby union squad began their World Cup preparation by being drilled on leadership, team-building and fitness by the Royal Marines.

The squad had expected to fly to a summer training camp in Portugal but instead head coach Brian Ashton sent them to Marine camps in southern England.
