England miss out on gold

England missed out on another archery gold in controversial fashion at the Yamuna Sports Complex when they were beaten 207-206 by India in the gold medal match.

The England team of Alison Williamson, Amy Oliver and Naomi Folkard held the advantage going into the final set of arrows but a score of six by Oliver meant they missed out.

However the result was not without controversy with the vocal Indian crowd clearly distracting Oliver when she set up for the shot which cost England gold.
