Fernandes set for Ibrox after Tigana snub

13 April 2012

Fabrice Fernandes is expected to complete a temporary move to Glasgow Rangers today after falling out with Fulham manager Jean Tigana.

The midfielder was on loan at Craven Cottage from French club Rennes until the end of the season but was unhappy at being dropped last month.

John Collins' return to fitness and the excellent form of Sean Davis and Lee Clark meant Fernandes was no longer an automatic first choice for the First Division leaders.

The 21-year-old found it difficult to adjust to English football initially and claimed players here are "hard and vicious".

But he adapted and performed impressively many times on the left-side of Fulham's midfield in his 28 appearances. He scored four times including a superb curling free-kick against Manchester United in a 2-1 FA Cup third round defeat.
