Arsenal will face Southampton or Norwich City in the fourth round of the FA Cup.

Arsene Wenger’s men secured their place in the hat courtesy of a hard fought 2-1 victory over Preston.

But Arsenal will have to wait to find out who they will face in round four as Norwich and Southampton face a replay for the right to host the Gunners on the weekend commencing Saturday January the 28th.

Callum Robinson had given Preston a deserved lead early on against a disjointed Arsenal defence, and Arsene Wenger's side were lucky to go into half-time just the one goal down.

But Wenger's half-time team talk inspired his side against their Championship opponents, with Aaron Ramsey scoring a minute into the second half before Giroud tucked home a deflected effort with two minutes left on the clock to break Preston hearts.

The result meant Wenger maintained his proud record of having never lost a third-round tie, but not without a huge sigh of relief.
