Nacho Monreal has revealed he is happy at Arsenal and wants to extend his stay at the north London side amid transfer interest from Spanish outfit Athletic Bilbao.
The 29-year-old is the subject of interest from the La Liga club and has just a year left on his current deal at the Emirates Stadium.
However, Monreal has admitted he is content with life at Arsenal since arriving from Malaga in 2013, and hopes to be still playing for the Gunners next season.
"I have one more year on my contract and I would like to stay," he told UAE news outlet Sport360.
"I am very lucky to play for Arsenal, and am very happy to play for Arsenal. If the boss wants me to stay, I will - and I’d like to extend my contract."
Monreal started Arsenal's FA Cup victory over Aston Villa at Wembley on Saturday after cementing his place as Arsene Wenger's first-choice left-back ahead of Kieran Gibbs.
"Kieran is an amazing player. I can imagine it is really difficult for the boss to choose between Kieran and me," he said.
"Obviously in football, only 11 players can start the game. The boss can choose between him or me. I think this is a good thing for the team. I have to give my best every day in training, or I wouldn’t play.

"I think in this position, we are lucky as we have two good players. I have played a lot of games this season, I would like to continue."
