The spotlight was on Alexis Sanchez last night as the Chilean picked up the PFA fans’ player of the month award – but Lukas Podolski made a pretty solid effort of trying to steal some of the limelight.
Sanchez was presented the award, which came in recognition of a fine November, before the match against Southampton.
Posing for photos with the award, Sanchez was photobombed by team-mate Lukas Podolski, whose jump was perfectly timed.
Sanchez was the standout Arsenal player last month. He kicked things off with a brace against Burnley on Novemeber 1 and scored in the next two matches against Anderlecht and Swansea.

He was unable to prevent the 2-1 loss against Manchester United, but helped his side get back to winning ways four days later by scoring the second goal against Borussia Dortmund.
And he began December in a similar fashion – his last-minute winner against Southampton helped the Gunners record their third straight win in all competitions.
