Arsenal star Mesut Ozil believes he became a better player during him time at Real Madrid thanking to working with "one of the greatest players in history" in Cristiano Ronaldo.
Ozil spent three seasons at the Bernabeu with Ronaldo, during which time he became one of Europe's most deadly playmakers in the process.
The German international finished the 2010/11, 11/12 and 12/13 seasons as La Liga's top assist maker before signing for Arsenal, and puts his impressive statistics down to Ronaldo - who signed a new Blancos deal until 2021 - being ruthless in front of goal.
"Cristiano Ronaldo - everybody knows him," Ozil told Arsenal's official website. "I never saw one guy like him - he works really hard. He's the first guy to get in the dressing room and the last guy maybe to leave.
"He's very professional always, and always wants to fight even in the training games."
Ozil joked that Ronaldo has the edge on Arsenal team-mate Santi Cazorla because "he is amazing with both feet - not just right, like Santi.
"I really enjoyed playing with him because he made me better on the pitch, he's a good guy and a good friend.
"Of course I gave a lot of my assists to him, and he knows that! But I really enjoyed playing with him because he doesn't need a lot of chances - if I give him two chances, he scores two.
"He's amazing and one of the greatest footballers in history."
The German also has fond memories of playing alongside Madrid captain Sergio Ramos, who - according to Ozil - has some hidden talents.
"I had a good time, successful as well, good friendships as well with a few players," he added.
"My best friend Sergio Ramos - I am still in contact with him. For me, maybe the best defender in the world.
"Good relationship, good guy, good personality, and a good singer - he has a nice voice, really!"
