Manchester City will face Arsenal or Chelsea in the EFL Cup final after beating Bristol City on Tuesday night.

Pep Guardiola named a strong starting XI at Ashton Gate and it paid off as goals from Leroy Sane and Sergio Aguero put the result to bed shortly after half-time of Tuesday's second leg.

The Championship outfit earned plaudits for their narrow 2-1 first-leg loss two weeks ago and held out until the 42nd minute in front of the home fans, but City were too strong.

Marlon Pack and Aden Flint notched consolations, before Kevin De Bruyne's even later finisher, but City reached their sixth EFL Cup final, having triumphed on four of their previous five visits.
