Cameroon vs Brazil lineups: Gabriel Jesus starts - Starting XIs, confirmed team news, World Cup injury latest

Jonathan Gorrie2 December 2022

Arsenal duo Gabriel Jesus and Gabriel Martinelli start for Brazil against Cameroon at the World Cup tonight.

With Neymar injured in the Selecao’s opening Group G win over Serbia and the 30-year-old definitely out of their final group game, Tite is looking at fresh options in Lusail.

Clearly, Neymar is a major worry but the manager is at least afforded the opportunity to rotate on Friday. Already through as group winners, plenty of changes have been made.

Ederson, Alex Telles, Fabinho and Antony all start.

Alex Sandro and Danilo are sidelined along with Neymar, however.

For Cameroon, meanwhile, goalkeeper Andre Onana has been sent home after a falling out with the management, while captain Vincent Aboubakar has done enough to start following his brilliant goal against Serbia on Monday.

Devis Epassy will continues in goal for the Indomitable Lions.

Cameroon XI: Epassy; Fai, Wooh, Ebosse, Tolo; Ngamaleu, Zambo Anguissa, Kunde, Mbeumo; Choupo-Moting, Aboubakar.

Brazil XI: Ederson; Alves, Militao, Bremer, Telles; Fabinho, Fred; Antony, Rodrygo, Martinelli; Jesus.
