Chelsea manager Antonio Conte has ruled out cutting short Ruben Loftus-Cheek's season-long loan spell at Crystal Palace.

Loftus-Cheek has earnt a regular starting place in Palace's first team and won his first international call-up following a number of impressive performances at Selhurst Park.

Last year, Chelsea brought back Nathan Ake, Kenedy and Charly Musonda early from loan spells at Bournemouth, Watford and Real Betis respectively to help increase numbers.

Chelsea have a number of players out on loan currently, including Loftus-Cheek, but Conte says that a premature return for Loftus-Cheek or anyone else is unlikely. He said: "I don't think this could be realistic. Also because the players we send on loan are playing. I don't see a possibility to come back for some players on loan.

"I remember last January Ake, Kenedy and Musonda came back in January to improve our squad. But in this transfer (window), I don't know."
