Chelsea boss Antonio Conte says huge transfer outlay is only part of Manchester City’s ‘unstoppable' title charge

Antonio Conte believes Manchester City have become an "unstoppable" force this season because of Pep Guardiola and the club's significant transfer outlay.

City's 3-0 win over Arsenal on Thursday night sent the club 16 points above second-placed Manchester United in the Premier League standings, with Guardiola's side now on course to winning the top-flight crown on April 7 - when they host their rivals at the Etihad Stadium.

Guardiola urged his side to forget their "tiredness" and try and beat Chelsea on Sunday, although Conte insisted on Friday that City have few weaknesses, if any, and believes they have become unstoppable this season.

Speaking to reporters at Cobham, Conte said of Guardiola's side: "In this moment they seem unstoppable.

"We must have great admiration for this team because they are having a fantastic path in this season.

"Sometimes it's very difficult to find a weakness in this team."

Conte has regularly aired his frustration about Chelsea's lack of expenditure in the transfer market this season, which is in stark comparison to City who spent big to bolster their squad last summer and in January.

And Conte believes City's willingness to splash the cash in the transfer market, as well as Guardiola's coaching methods, are why the club will take the Premier League trophy from out of Chelsea's hands.

"When you work very well and there is a great feeling between the manager and the club, you can work in the way you want, to try to improve your team in the best way," Conte added.

"Manchester City has the possibility to spend a lot of money. When you link this situation, good manager, much money to spend in the transfer market, the same ambition, this is the final result."
