Creative Tottenham fan 'resurrects' White Hart Lane seat in back garden

Sam Long16 May 2017

Tottenham fans finally said farewell to White Hart Lane - their home of 118 years - on Sunday afternoon.

Construction workmen have swiftly taken control of the stadium, with swathes of seats already removed, as the club steps up the ongoing development of their new stadium.

But one supporter salvaged his seat prior to the bulldozers moving in and has devised a novel way to recycle his old spot on the terraces.

Twitter user @stu2809, who has been a season ticket holder in N17 for over 30 years, has "resurrected" his garden furniture by giving it a Spurs makeover.

Plenty of supporters attempted to take their seats home at the end of the north Londoners' 2-1 victory over Manchester United.

Spurs will play their home games at Wembley Stadium next season and plan to move into their new base ahead of the 2018-19 campaign.

The club's new home will boast a capacity of 61,559, making it the largest club ground in the capital.
