Chelsea secured a much-needed three points against London rivals Crystal Palace on Sunday afternoon, with the Blues looking more like the side that secured the title last season.

Guus Hiddink's men knew they had to put in a performance at Selhurst Park – hovering just three points above the drop zone before the match - and the champions did not disappoint their travelling fans.

Despite Palace enjoying the better of the early chances namely through Fraizer Campbell, Chelsea took the lead when Diego Costa used his pace and strength to beat Damien Delaney and Scott Dann to unselfishly set up for Oscar in the 28th minute.

The Blues then doubled their advantage through Willian, who was set up by Oscar to smash home a superb effort in the 65th minute before the Brazilian then turned provided minutes later to provide the ball from which Costa netted Chelsea's third.

The win lifts Chelsea up the Premier League standings and away from the relegation zone while Palace missed their chance to get closer to the top four places with the defeat.

Who, though, was the star of the show for the Blues and who disappointed for Palace? Standard Sport assesses the individual performances for both teams in our gallery above.
