Crystal Palace vs Manchester United: Marcos Rojo escapes red card for two-footed tackle on Wilfried Zaha

Manchester United's Marcos Rojo is fast gaining a reputation for wild tackling after escaping a red card for a two-footed lunge on Crystal Palace winger Wilfried Zaha.

With the scores level in Wednesday night's Premier League clash at Selhurst Park, Zaha led a Palace counter on the right flank five minutes before half-time.

The former United winger skipped past Daley Blind and cut inside, and Rojo duly went to ground with a two-footed challenge for which Craig Pawson handed out a yellow card.

Rojo protested his innocence, but replays showed that the Argentina international was fortunate to avoid a straight red for the crude challenge.

And it is not the first time that Rojo has escaped a sending-off this season, with the defender receiving a yellow card against Everton after flying in with two feet against Idrissa Gueye.
