Luka Milivojevic would welcome January arrivals at Crystal Palace but has warned they must focus on improving small details during games before the winter window.

Milivojevic said Palace, who lost 2-0 to Leicester on Sunday, had expected to take all three points from a side which had beaten Southampton 9-0 in their last Premier League outing.

Goals from Calgar Soyuncu and Jamie Vardy ended Palace's four-game winning run against the Foxes and leaves them with just a solitary point from their last three games.

With fixtures against Chelsea and Liverpool to come either side of this month's international break, things will likely get worse before they improve.

Palace manager Roy Hodgson has long been calling for January investment, and Milivojevic hopes the Palace hierarchy listen to his pleas.

"It is on the board, not me," he told Standard Sport. "If we can sign someone who can bring us quality then we are happy. That is it."

Palace had defended well until, from a corner, Gary Cahill lost Soyuncu and Brendan Rodgers's side took control.

"I think one small situation decided the game, that was the corner, after that the game changed and it was different," said Milivojevic. "I think it could be the opposite as well. In the end they won 2-0 which I don't think they deserved.

"To be honest, we didn't expect to lose points against Leicester, but next two games are very tough. Chelsea are in very good form, Liverpool are in amazing form. It will be tough but we have to carry on and believe in ourselves to get something next week.

"When you think that you are going to get something, we were very confident after the draw against Arsenal, and I think yesterday we played a good game for 80 minutes, the last 10 minutes we risked a lot, but that is football. This is the top level and we are disappointed but we have to try to get something from next few games."
