Images leaked on Twitter on Monday showed Manchester United's latest additions suiting up for the club's tour of America.
Italy full-back Matteo Darmian, who sealed his move to Old Trafford on Saturday, is pictured alongside both Bastian Schweinsteiger and Morgan Schneiderlin despite no official confirmation the latter pair have put pen to paper on United deals.
Van Gaal has pursued Schweinsteiger, who is expected to be unveiled today, for the past two summers and secured his services with the offer of personal terms which could see him earn £135,000 a week, while United are today also expected to announce the signing of Southampton midfielder Schneiderlin for a fee in excess of £25million.
The France international, who travelled to Manchester on Sunday to undergo a medical, will join fellow new recruit Schweinsteiger on United’s Monday afternoon flight to the USA for their pre-season tour.
