England Women to wear first ever bespoke kit at 2019 World Cup in France

1/6

England Women will wear their own original kits during this summer's World Cup, for the first time in their history.

Until now, the Lionesses have worn the same kit as the men's side, who have also typically been given the honour of debuting each new strip after its launch.

However, Nike have now created separate home and away kits specifically for the women to wear in France as they look to better their run to the semi-finals of four years ago.

The strips retain England’s traditional white home and red away colour schemes, while the range, titled the England Women’s Collection, also includes various other apparel such as training kit and anthem jackets.

The launch comes just days after fellow sportswear giant Adidas revealed an exclusive kit for Germany's women's side. Nike have also announced similar designs for each of their sponsored teams, including defending champions the USA.

Phil Neville's England team go to France among the tournament favourites, having also reached the semi-final of the last European Championships, before winning the SheBelieves Cup for the first time last week.
