Ismail Yakubu’s return to action is delayed

Jon West11 April 2012

Ismail Yakubu faces another two weeks out despite having an injection on his back problem.

The Barnet defender was an ever present in the side until picking up the injury ahead of last month's match at Morecambe.

Despite returning against Torquay the following week, he was forced off in the opening minutes and has been out of action for the last six games.

Meanwhile, Matt Lockwood boosted his chances of being offered a permanent contract at Underhill next season after extending his loan deal from Colchester United until 24 April.

The 33-year-old former Orient defender will be a free agent in the summer but is desperate to remain in the game.

Lockwood joined Barnet last month, having also had a spell at Dagenham and Redbridge this term.
