James Vaughan fear for Crystal Palace

Ian Gibb11 April 2012

James Vaughan ended Crystal Palace's 2-1 home defeat against fellow strugglers Scunthorpe limping and will have a scan today to assess the damage.

Palace manager Dougie Freedman said: "We'll have to wait and see (on James), it didn't look great. He'll wait and have an MRI scan this morning.

"I saw him limping and was going to take him off, but he seemed to give me the thumbs up and kept on going."

Fourth-from-bottom Palace saw their six-point Championship cushion halved and head to free-falling Doncaster on Friday knowing they have only won once away in the League all season.
