Naby Keita and Jordan Henderson are unavailable for Liverpool’s meeting with Cardiff City on Saturday, Jurgen Klopp has confirmed.

Keita has not featured for the Reds since sustaining a hamstring injury while representing Guinea during the last international break.

Henderson, meanwhile, was substituted at half-time during last weekend’s 1-0 win over Huddersfield Town after feeling tightness in the same muscle.

The pair missed the midweek victory over Red Star Belgrade in the Champions League as a result of their problems, and Klopp has now revealed that they will also be unable to feature against Cardiff.

He said: “[It] will not work out for tomorrow, for sure. Both in a good way but will not be ready for that.

“I think that’s it pretty much, the rest should be - apart from [Alex] Oxlade-Chamberlain and [Rhian] Brewster - available.”

Liverpool are looking to beat Cardiff City for the fifth game on the trot when the two sides meet at Anfield on Saturday.
