Manchester United and Tottenham will play in the Women's Super League next season after both sides were awarded club licences for the 2019-20 campaign.

The pair earned promotion from the Women's Championship, with Casey Stoney's Manchester United Women winning the title in the club's first season after beating Crystal Palace 7-0 in April.

The league will expand from 11 to 12 teams for the next campaign, with only Yeovil dropping down to the Championship.

The Championship will also have 12 teams next season, with Blackburn and Coventry coming up from the National League Northern and Southern Premier Divisions, respectively.

The Football Association confirmed both teams have also been awarded club licenses.

No teams have been relegated from the Championship this season.
