Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is determined to end his semi-final hoodoo tonight when Manchester United face Roma in the Europa League.

The Norwegian has studied his four previous failures ahead of the first leg at Old Trafford, insisting his team are more prepared to reach their first final under him.

He has twice lost to Manchester City in the Carabao Cup and was beaten by Chelsea and Sevilla in the FA Cup and Europa League respectively last season.

Solskjaer said: "We've looked at all the semis and the reasons why we lost. Some defeats you dwell on a little bit more, you analyse more. It's about putting things right. We're in a better position.

"Now we're going to go all out. The players have had another year, they're more experienced, they've come through difficult times.

"We've done remarkably well to get to five semis in a little bit more than a season but, of course, now we'd like to go all the way."
