Manchester United v Manchester City talking points: Angel di Maria should start and Marcos Rojo must keep Sergio Aguero quiet

Five talking points: United are trying to prevent a fifth successive defeat to City
Tom Farmery10 April 2015

The Manchester derby is one the most hotly anticipated fixtures every season but Sunday's match is of huge importance for both sides.

Both United and City are well-placed to qualify for Champions League football next season. For Louis van Gaal's side, finishing inside the top four currently seems more likely than it does for Manuel Pellegrini's.

Only a point separates the two teams but United have won six of their last seven top flight fixtures and City are experiencing a slump.

While Sunday's hosts are second behind Arsenal in the form guide, City haven't picked up a point from their last three away games, which include defeats by Crystal Palace and Burnley.

Pellegrini will not want to be the first City manager to lose four successive Premier League away matches since Stuart Pearce in 2006, but United - who have been beaten in their last four matches against City - have never lost five consecutive games against any club.
